Which season should we go ?

The suitable date and month are very important if you want to climb this great mountain.

According to the professional travelers, the most suitable season to discover Fansipan is from September to April if you want to discover another sides of Sa Pa, especially the October and Novemember if you just want to discover the top of Fansipan, when the weather is cool, sunny and not to cold. However, the weather at Fansipan is rather unusual, it can be sunny at the foot of the mountain but drizzle and foggy on higher level, if you’re lucky, you will catch the great natural phenomenon such as rainbow.
Preparation for discovering Fansipan
Shoes and clothes are not enough for the trip as many people think, to discover the top of Fansipan successfully, you need to prepare these things:

- Climbing team: Tourists should go with a team including about 3-5 peoples, who can encourage and help them to finish the trip

- Health and Morale: Not only climbing but everything need these two things, you should spend about 30-60 minutes everyday taking exercises such as running or fake climbing. Besides, tourists had better have strong spirit and will, which makes them have more chance to success.

The necessary personal belongings:

- Backpack: The one can hold about 3-4,5 kg and has straps on chest and abdomen, which should be strong and fixed

- Shoes: Tourists had better choose the dedicated hiking shoes, if not, The shoes should be soft, thick, waterproof and have good friction, high neck and sweat absorbing.

- Sock: You should bring about 3-4 pairs of socks, which are the high neck to keep warm and avoid leeches and foot blistering

- Gloves: For the case of climbing the cliff
- Clothes: If you travel in the March and April, bring the summer clothes. If you travel in the Octorber – December. The clothes had better be sweat wicking, good elasticity and ventilation

- Hiking Sticks: You really need it when you become tired. Tourists should bring the dedicated hiking stick

- Another belongings: Phone, pence, camera, raincoat, wide-brimmed hat, versatile folding knives, lighters, rope, medicine, snack, notebook, binoculars… maybe the sleeping bag and tents if you don’t travel with tour

1. Should Hire a guide porter: A local people is better, who can help you find the way, hold your luggages and handle the situations if something happens

2. Do not leave the team: If you don’t want to lost and missing

3. Astray: If you get lost, return to the old way or stay right there to wait for the people. You should bring the ribbons to headed the way you go through.

4. Pay attention for the dangerous ways: To pass the vertical and slippy slope, the rugged stream with stones, … you must keep calm, move carefully and use both hands to cling the stone or anything you can cling. Specially, move up with Z shape and move down with stoop back and bending knee.
